It follows Beyonce's 'Run The World' since it has a really upbeat tempo and the lyrics are quite positive and hopeful. So I hope this might be interesting to some people here, whether you've read the book or are just curious about a cappella groups that are like the fictional groups in the movie. 'Flashlight ' is also one of the best covers in the Pitch Perfect series, and also makes it to the Bellas' World Championship setlist. So I decided to do some digging and this 8tracks playlist is the result-it's a collection of a cappella covers that were either specifically mentioned in the book or in a few cases just a miscellaneous song pick from a group talked about in the book (with the relevant excerpt from the book in the annotations for each to show why it was included). Which seems unfortunate because a lot of the groups in the book do put out albums and it is actually possible to hear what their renditions of these songs sounded like (or, in some cases, the book is even referring specifically to the group recording a song for their album). Stream songs including 'Universal Fanfare', 'Kennedy Center Performance' and more. If you haven't looked into it, is basically a collection of anecdotes about college a cappella drama and it doesn't generally have a very direct relation to the plot of the movie, though here and there it will dawn on you-oh! That's like that character in the movie! It was entertaining regardless, other than the fact that so much of it is the author trying to describe performances of songs to you.
